The Prodigy is a yo-yo produced in collaboration by Yomega and One Drop as a signature series model for Daniel Dietz. It was first given a special pre-release in October 2013 at the U.S. National Yo-Yo Contest.
Description[]
The Prodigy was designed by Daniel Dietz himself alongside his mentor, Nick Gumlaw of Spin Dynamics. The yo-yo is manufactured to high standards at One Drop's machining shop in Eugene, Oregon, and is distributed by Yomega.
The yo-yo features an Inverse Round shape made of aluminum, designed for a long, stable spin, and to be comfortable to hold in the hand. It also features small concave dimples on the side faces for finger spins. It also boasts an official KonKave C-bearing from Dif-e-Yo, along with silicone Flow Grove response from One Drop. The yo-yo is also blast-finished, making it great for grinding techniques, as well as coming in both solid and splash-anodized colorways. Much like the earlier Glide, the Prodigy is a part of Yomega's Elite Metals yo-yo line-up because of its competition-worthy performance.
