The Equinox by YoYoJam is a yo-yo released in 2010 as a signature series model of John Narum.
Description[]
The Equinox is an offstring yo-yo like no other in the YoYoJam line-up at the time of its release, not even the popular Aquarius. Similar in size to a Duncan Hayabusa, it is the first offstring yo-yo to feature midship metal weight rings for an entirely new feeling of play. It also features the Solid Spin Axle system for extra strength and durability, making it usable like an oversized 1A yo-yo. The axle system also provides an adjustable string gap that adapts to wide or narrow bearings. The outer rims are sheathed in polycarbonate, allowing the yo-yo to bounce straight up after a drop for an easy recovery. The yo-yo's size makes it effective for pulling off chopstick-style tricks, though whips can be a bit difficult.
Trivia[]
- The first YoYoJam offstring model to feature metal weight rings was the Special Agent, a signature series yo-yo of Cody Taylor.
- The second YoYoJam offstring throw to feature midship metal weights is the Rextreme series.
