The Mod Squad was an on-line store/shop specializing in the creation of custom modded yo-yos. Founded by Tim Redmond, the site sold modified yo-yos to the buyer's specifications, including bearing modification, recesses, silicone response and others. The site featured creations and work by Takeshi, CalicoJoe and Yoyorockstar.
The site was taken down in 2009, for a number of reasons - primarily the trending away from plastics into metals, and the lack of modification needed on the newer product lines of the manufacturers.
