The Museum of Yo-Yo History is a comprehensive on-line archive of yo-yo images, historical memorabilia and information. Started by David Hall, a large number of items from his collection as well as the collections of other curators are on display. The site lists many prototype yo-yos and historical yo-yo information that is not available elsewhere.
The Museum of Yo-Yo History was taken down for a short time from October 2008 to October of 2009. The reasons for the closure related to the closure of Daves yo-yo store Dave's Skill Toys and the frustration with the yo-yo community that Dave had at the time. As the community realized the loss over the year many prominent members of the yo-yo community asked Dave to reconsider his decision. After this urging and careful consideration Dave reopened the Museum of Yo-Yo History again on October of 2009.
