Matt Cahill (also known as YoyoRockStar) has done many detail dye jobs and paintings, and developed a technique for dyeing plastic yo-yos based on the Ukranian folk art Pysanky, which is a difficult and time consuming multi-colored wax-resistant dye process typically performed on Easter Eggs.
Matt started yo-yoing in 2003 after having seen Evan Nagao kicking serious yo-yo-ass on America's Most Talented Kid. "Hey, I can do that." Discovered that it was way harder than it looked. Matt realized early on that the kids these days are freakin' freaks when it comes to hand-eye stuff, and now spends his contest time either judging or hanging back in the old-guy sport ladder division.
