Lucky himself juggling some yo-yos.

"Lucky" J. Meisenheimer is the author of Lucky's Collectors Guide to 20th Century Yo-Yos and the parody poster entitled "Lucky's Periodic Table of Yo-Yos." He was a founding board member of the AYYA and serves as chairman of the AYYA's history, as well as the World Record Committee, where he has certified all the AYYA world records. He also holds the world record for the largest yo-yo collection, that which still stands to this day.

Lucky runs a film company called Lucky-Rose-Films, which has produced two yo-yo related films; 2003 World Yo-Yo Championships and Yo-Yo Kings. His parody film for National Lampoon's "Robodoc Dissected: The Making of Robodoc" (which he wrote and directed) has a yo-yo scene.

Doc Lucky is also a sci-fi novelist. His sci-fi thriller, The Immune , mentions a collectible set of yo-yos.

Lucky is also well-known for hosting the VIP barbeque at his home for the World Yo-Yo Championships every year since 2000 and his contest, "Lucky's 15 Seconds of Fame."

Lucky has been featured in the media a number of times.

As a Guinness world record holder, Lucky has had a lot of media coverage. In February 2007, he was on the Martha Stewart Show as a guest, and he was showing his yo-yo collection. On February 16th, 2010, he was on CBS news and was presented with a collector yo-yo with the CBS logo on it. He has also appeared on Nickelodeon's "What Would You Do," Treasures in Your Home, The Ultimate Collector, Growing Bolder, Weird Homes, Nickelodeon's Sports and Games, and others.
