The Fission is the first yo-yo manufactured by Radiyoactive, a South African yo-yo manufacturer. Released for the local market in November 2005, it started making an appearance on world-wide online stores in January 2006.

The yo-yo features 3 pog designs by Oke Rosgana, printed on a thin cardboard. A number of special editions were produced with laser-engraved rowmark pogs, bringing up the yo-yo weight and allowing for the removing of the pogs, something not possible in the original model. Apart from the normal Fission logo on the rowmark pogs, special engraved editions were produced for the 2006 Florida and Maryland State contests, with 10 numbered editions available at the contests.
