The Empress Satellite is a 1950's to 1960's reproduction model of the Duncan Satellite from the Japanese yo-yo manufacturer Empress. The Satellite has the word Japan stamped on the rim in black ink to specify the country of origin. The yo-yo is different from the Duncan model in that it uses a 3 piece design, as opposed to the 1 piece design of the original. Far from fully balanced, most examples don't have halves of same size but to it's credit the colors are very vivid and the logo is imprinted on the yo-yo, resulting in better readability than the Duncan models.
