The Sonic Satellite was another version of the popular Satellite model. Beside capitalizing on the amazement following the launch of the first satellites into orbit, Duncan created the model with a shrieking whistle in the center of each yo-yo. Holes drilled in the rims fed air to this whistle, creating a very loud whistling sound (as opposed to the softer hum of yo-yos such as the earlier Whistler) while the yo-yo was spinning.
